Cam’s World was inspired by DeAndra’s son, Cameron, who was diagnosed with autism at two years old. DeAndra created the book to give children a meaningful look into Cameron’s world while helping young readers better understand autism in a fun, age-appropriate, and engaging way.
Through Cameron’s story, young readers are introduced to the importance of kindness, acceptance, compassion, inclusion, and understanding differences. The book encourages meaningful conversations about autism while reminding children that everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and included.
Inspired by DeAndra and Cameron’s real-life journey, Cam’s World continues its mission of spreading autism awareness, promoting inclusion, and helping create more inclusive and understanding communities for children of all abilities.
